Fountain Hills is situated on the eastern slope of the McDowell Mountains about 500 feet in elevation above Phoenix and borders Scottsdale to the east. The town is named for the fourth tallest fountain in the world located near down town and visible from many parts of Fountain Hills.
The McDowells are a majestic range that naturally separates the community from Scottsdale and the rest of metro Phoenix. And though it seems like another world, it is just a short 25 minute drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
The community’s most valuable asset is its beauty. Incredible views and natural terrain provide for a wide range of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, boating and some of the more challenging and picturesque golf courses you’ll find in the country.
