Yes it was 109 degrees today in sunny Scottsdale Arizona. The pool is inviting that is for sure.
However I have this memory when it was not so warm and photo to prove it from 2012 around Christmas in Scottsdale. A memory? What you ask? IT SNOWED!

Well I remember that Christmas season of 2012 when it snowed in Scottsdale, Arizona. Yes…you heard right, snow in the great desert Southwest. The land of the 100+ degree summers and snowbirds in the winter. It was a shocker alright.
Of course this snow storm would have been a laugher from the childhood days of the cousins arriving up a snowy driveway in New York when we were children.
Oh well, life goes on. I would prefer a sunny warm winter over those New York blizzards of the past when you had to get up early to chop the ice off the front winshield and let the car heat up before venturing outward and hoping the streets were plowed.
I prefer Scottsdale now and the sunny dry days. Yes, it can be sweater weather at Christmas, but that is fine with me. When else would we wear those ugly Christmas sweaters.
