As I drove past quiet “Ho Hum” Road in beautiful Carefree Arizona the other day the Ho Hum of a sunny day and the joy of family was very relaxing.

To give you an idea of how relaxed living in Carefree is, besides “Ho Hum Road”, here are the names of other streets: “Carefree Highway, Easy Street, Lazy Lane, Nonchalant Avenue, Leisure Lane, Meander Way, Tranquil Trail, Rocking Chair Road, and Stage Coach Pass”.
Many of these street names date back to the 1950s and spread out from the large town Sundial in the middle of the Carefree town center with art galleries, jewelry/craft shops and restaurants. The names lend themselves to the old town slower paced lifestyle in the middle of the Sonoran desert.
