What I always wanted to be when when I was a kid was a major league baseball player. However, I was just not good enough. I grew up rooting for the New York Yankees. Now, I am an Arizona Diamondbacks fan. Yet, I remember the play and movie Dam Yankees where the devil temps a fan to giving up his soul to play in the major leagues and beat those dreaded Yankees. Now I would definitely not do THAT! However, as a real estate blogger on Active Rain Blogging platform we earn blogging points. They really don’t do anything except in the magical and mystical Active Rain Points Store. Could it be that I may still have a shot at the Big Leagues by sacrificing 1,000,000 Active Rain blogging points? Mmmmmmh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You see, when I realized that I could never become a Big Leaguer in Baseball, I decided to become the next closest thing…a Real Estate Agent! What? Are you crazy? Why do you say Real Estate is the next closest thing to baseball?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did anyone ever tell you to “GO HOME”<\/strong> before? Maybe you were in Little League once watching the dandelions grow while you are standing on third base thinking about going out for ice cream after the game. Tommy Jones, the other team’s catcher lets a 4 bouncer pitch get past him and it rolls all the way to the backstop. One of the Dad coaches yells to  you “GO HOME!” <\/strong>while waking you up out of your day dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, I do that as well as a licensed Real Estate Agent. I am ALWAYS telling my clients to GO HOME<\/strong> and I send them hundreds of MLS listings to them to plant those seeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baseball and Real Estate actually have a lot in common? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baseball and Real Estate are similar…Have you noticed that the object of both is to <\/strong>“GO HOME”! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baseball players practice and train to “go home” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Real Estate agents (like me)…I wanted to be a baseball player. I practice, train for my clients to “Go Home”. Hey, going home is the “American Dream”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I was 11 years old in 1964, my friend’s Dad took me and my friend to my first baseball game of my life. It was a night game at Yankeee Stadium. I remember it vividly. We walked up the tunnel to the ground level in right field. An there it was! The beautiful green field in the lights with the ball players, running and catching and stretching before the game. There was the prominent smell of cigar smoke with a haze of smoke hanging over the box seats with the old timer fans smoking. I was hooked immediatey. My father had passed away the prior year. I immediatly followed the Yankees listening to Phil Rizzuto on the radio with the play by play and reading the box scores in the newspaper every day (I still do) and making a scrap book. My father had liked the Dodgers so I followed them too, even though they had moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The object of both professions is the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As matter of fact for 125+ years, owning and going home is good for us and for America. Baseball is an Americant (Pastime) tradition, hot dogs, apple pie & going “Home”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
